Baptism Programme
Prior to an infant's baptism, the parents (or expectant parents) are expected to attend a programme of five meetings led by one of the priests and couples from the parish. Programmes are offered about twice a year.

First Holy Communion
A joint programme is run each year beginning in the Autumn with cooperation between parents, St Mary's Primary school and the parish, to prepare Year 3 children for their First Holy Communion in June of the following year. The programme includes meetings for parents to enable them to give further support to the children.

Confirmation
The Bishop comes by invitation from the parish typically about every three years to confirm candidates who are usually of secondary school age. Those who wish to be confirmed attend a preparation programme in the preceding months.

Adult Education Talks (for non Catholics)
These are arranged as needed and follow the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) process. Usually the programme begins in autumn and candidates who so choose are usually received into full communion at the following Easter Vigil.
